Found a 2010 SS, or wait for a 2013?
I'm searching for a '13 2SS SIM black interior with 3 pedals and can't find one (under 30k miles).
I did find a 2010 vin # 69xxx, I'm hoping this is not one of the affected cars with the output shaft breaking on the transmission, as far as I've read it was the first 25k. Other than the lack of mylink, back-up camera, and suspension differences this 2010 with 10k on the clock is tempting at $23.500 before negotiations and $1000 to deliver from half way across the country haha. 2010 or wait for a 2013 to pop up? Thanks! |

Hold out for exactly what you want or you'll regret it later

I have a 2010 and if I could do it over again, and know what I know now, I would wait for a 2013.
But I would also have a manual too. So there's that.

Why no love for the 2015? Last of the Gen Mohicans and the end of the developmental cycle, not the middle. Or near it.

I'm guessing 2013 specifically, seems to be popular because it's the only year with MyLink and the old tail lights. Developmental cycle doesn't really play a part because the only year any noteworthy upgrades (suspension) were made, came in 2012. After that, 2012-15 are all basically the same

I actually like the (relatively) low tech aspect of my 2010. Something about simplicity...
I did upgrade the suspension, though. |

Wait for the 13. Recently went through the same thing. I wanted a IOM 2013. One finally popped up. I almost bought a ashen gray a week before. So happy I waited. I got the exact car I wanted

LS3 was rated at 426 hp for the entire 5th Gen run of 2010-15 True, although I don't how much of a selling point that is; which is why I didn't mention it. I feel like I've seen more '13-15 electric issues than '10-12 hydraulic issues around here. Although it seems mostly with people unknowingly messing with the EPS ground when installing a CAI

It took even BMW a long time to sort of get it right. |

Didn’t realize I missed the ‘sweet spot.’ Anyone want to trade straight across my 2015 (9600 miles) for their 2013?
