R888r is perfect in these temps. We run them from as little as 15 degrees in my winter circuit cross league and they’re instant money in 45 - 50. You should be able to heat your 3rs up in two laps even in 40 degrees. I had no issues warning them at vir even with long straights.

Thanks for the tip on the R888r, we run out west, in the desert and the ground holds the cold in, so tires don't get hot in three laps this time of the year, if we go out at 8AM, at that time no mater how hard I try tires never got out of cold on the DIC next group run they got to norm, and buy the last 2 laps got hot, from there on it was fine

Ah got it. Sorry - didn’t know that nauance about running out west. The r888r is an incredible cold weather tire. Believe this run was in 29 degrees on the focus. Gives you an idea how you can nearly instantly push in cold on the r888r. For next season I’m gonna run 325 r888rs and run my Camaro in the cold.
