ZL1 Manual specific driveshaft loop

2014 ZL1 Manual. stock NPP exhaust pipes up to headers with offroad pipes

Metco said they dont offer one and according to my Camaro mod book for the 5th gen, BMR wont work either.

Has anyone bought an off the shelf driveshaft loop and installed without modification into their ZL1? All I see is modified SS cars.

Thanks

Does it attach to the trans cross member or some other way?
You have this on your ZL1?

I have the competition engineering on my ZL1, manual, cross member goes back in stock. Only some spacer that are added. Go to the web site and look at the installation instructions

Says right on the bottom of the page will not fit ZL1.
This is the issue I have and then they talk about the DSL015!
So why the difference?
So you didnt have to modify this DSL014?

Even the Moroso c3174 says fits non ZL1 models...something tells me I just need to bite the bullet and prove them wrong. Sounds like you guys figured it out.

So in your build you said "Used a camaro convertible frame brace under transmission. Installed a BMR driveshaft loop."

Not sure what you meant by a convertible frame brace. Would I need that to make the BMR to work?

Thanks

Hello,

The loop fit with no issues or problems, I took a chance and ordered it, it fits fine with ARH header system with X pipe, I think it hits the stock ZL1 exhaust cross over piece. I ordered and ainstalled the convertible brace later to reduce any frame flex, what is good for the convertible has to be good for the coupe... I did have to put in some spacers at one end of the convertible brace to keep it even (the red pieces), as the transmission brace gets spacers from the BMR loop kit. I also cut holes for the O2 sensors to clear.

Hope this clears things up

Why hell if the loop will hit the exhaust, then why cant I just bolt a loop to the exhaust?

Just kidding
