What you want someone down there to do it why not buy a short block done by a higher volume place and get install more locally? Chances are as in when I bought my block from custom engine supply/ SAG performance group; the work is best done by a shop that does them all the time that has the connections and the work is flawless. I also had to buy; expedited shipping for my pistons which did come from CAL but my block shipped from Indiana for free, I sunk about 5 grand into a all forged 428 shortblock,, used molnar rotating and racetec pistons....the best look them up if you want you may know other names people slap on molnar....as they cost big $ for their names...LOL like Callies or Wiseco , K1 etc.

Any way, I had purchased a windage tray pan for a stoker, it had to be clearance more , the block of course clearanced for the con rods caps etc, the pistons are custom made by the guy who used to own a place called JE pistons the largest piston maker in the world, the skirts of the pistons have to be right and the sleeves have to be clearanced also, the rings and pistons correct for the application.... Just a lot of things like install of oil plugs and such that a more experienced machine shop should do ......

My good shop is Wongs performance engineering in Vancouver Wa..... check him out on facebook, SAG/Custom is on EBAY, along with others of course like Thompson etc, I found Jerry though nice to deal with answering my well informed questions from custom engine supply. And being in the area of Michigan block was like $1400 .....OH and it was cheaper in the winter versus the summer when the prices go up usually for demand makes it so...... Good Luck. Love my stroker the extra torque there is no replacement for displacement...I have more torque with a milder cam than I have HP versus a full nutted out engine with smaller displacement just to make high HP numbers..Seat of the pants...WOOHOO.......

Don't know if he ever found a stroker, LOL anyway places like Texas Speed, Lingenfelter, Livernois, maybe even Hennessey, Thompson, SAG performance, used to be a place in Florida like Florida speed or Tampa tuning etc....Heck I think even Tick advertises one, most likely places like sponsors on here of course Jannetty racing, Phastek, RDP etc check all over folks and comparison shop for fun...LOL
