Hi 2SSRS

I am following this closely, because this is one of the features that I wish had come out with the 2010. I am hoping that once you have this working in your car you will post step by step instructions on how to do this mod. Also if you do end up making a wiring harness that takes the differences into account for the two years and makes it a plug and play you can put me down for one. Thank You for all you are doing.

well you got me interested! hope you get the parts sooner than later, if that harness you can make doesn't turn out to be too expensive, i'd probably think about this mod...

I will do the best i can to make it a step by step instructions, But i was not grate at school work never did my home work in time, I am more of a fixer then a thinker, My intent is to make a plug and play harness that gos inline of the instrument harness and then to the HUD.

2SSRS,

Any thoughts on whether a SW update will be required in the car's computer system? The HUD is probably pretty much self contained but if there is specific HUD type messages required on the bus, they may not be in our SW.

Did the Corvette guys that did the upgrade get a plug and play install (i.e. no SW update needed)?

The way i see it i do not believe it will require any upgrade, The way i look at it this is like adding the 4 pack gauges there was no upgrade required for that part, This will be the same all the main components are there, the HUD is only a display of the info from all the components.

So will a lot of PPL.
It does require a special windshield that has a relective coating. I had to replace a w/shield on my Grand Prix GTP w/ HUD, expensive sucker too.. But I imagine it will work at night and low light w/ the standard windshield.
