Kerbeck has a web offering of 7 at $2,000 below MSRP ranging from MSRPs of $59,000 to $66,000. They all are non-Z51s. It lists 3 Z51s at MSRP. No Verts yet. So, if you are OK with a non-Z51, you can get one $2,000 below MSRP. The Z51 interest and demand must be higher than expected and/or there are supplier problems. But then, if one wants Magnetic Selective Drive, as I do, can only get it on a Z51.

Happened earlier than I expected but with the constraints dealers who ordered base coupes rather than lose an allocation slot will be knee deep in inventory in no time. "

Their web site says EVERY not just base.

I contacted MacMulkin and they say the $2000 discount off MSRP only applies to non-Z51 packaged C7s. For a Z51, it is at MSRP.

This just in - Big demand for Z51s (75% of orders) and possible supplier problems - Some of us (me a 3LT Vert Z51) may wait a year and wind up with a 2015 model.

No surprise here other than waiting a year seems unlikely but an order accepted after the winter break could go over to the 2015 model year.

This is not a unique situation for Chevrolet performance packages. Rare but not unique.

Actually that article is 6 weeks old. Current rumor is that the Z51 constraints will be gone in January. If so, there will be abundant supply within 30 days of the same.

I can tell you richardlord you won't wait a year. I have a z51 soft top lt3 at 3300 and ordered it in September All I had to give up was the carbon fiber interior. They are coming our way

I don't think Z51 constraints will significantly lessen or be fully lifted by end of Jan. Given the upcoming Dec. holiday downtime at BG, the constraints won't disappear swiftly. Maybe by end of Q1 2014 perhaps...who knows. It really depends on the supplier/vendor of the constrained components. If they can ramp up more & more then that'll help. So we'll see...

Well anyone with more information isn't talking. However, the holiday downtime should actually give the vendors a chance to catch up, plus the winter months are usually slower selling months, plus demand for the Z51 vs base should start normalizing as some will decide not to wait and deals will get better on base models quicker, plus as time goes on some will decide to just wait for the 2015 and some will decide to wait for the Z06 that will be revealed in January. So, we will see....

I'm willing to wait for my highly optioned Vert Z51 3LT as many are. Depending on what happens with what constraints and when, I may be looking at a '15 model. If I have to wait for a '15, maybe a ZO7, and they are coming out also as Verts, but then I'd probably have to wait until '16.

Not sure about a ZO7 gas mileage wise. I know, I know, if gas mileage even crosses my mind it probably is not the right C7 for me. Will the ZO7 even have cylinder deactivation? Then, there is the extra cost. But, my C7 is north of $75G, and so what is an extra $25G or so. Decisions, decisions.

Whatever I get I need by next September for a cross-county tour I have planned as a retirement gift to me along with the C7 in addition to other self-gifting where I already have lodging reservations in some national parks.

All this heavy pondering calls for another glass of scotch.

That $2000 off is for a non-Z51

True. The Z51 discounts will soon follow after the constraints are removed.

Per my memory, the Z51 option was in some form of constraint for the whol of the first year of production of the C6.

The C7 Z06 will likely start regular production about a year from now and customer deliveries should start around President's Day or shortly thereafter.
