Weird part was it was only one side of the car. The dust is so fine that you have to be careful not to breath it in by accident. Lots of people out here in Phoenix get a disease from ground spores called "valley fever" from these storms. I had to make sure my mouth and nose were covered before heading out to see the carnage.

Hahaha I knew someone was gonna mention this I got stuck in it on my lunch break walking to cityscape in downtown phx. I'm glad I didn't get blown away but I did get a mouth full of dirt. I hate to see what my car looks like after getting blasted by the wall of dust.

Should have seen it coming back from Show Low on the 87. Made the right choice not taking the 60 home otherwise I would have been driving in it.

Tucson got hit pretty hard with monsoon weather yesterday and today (both hit around 4:30 PM). Yesterday's wind and rain was some of the worst I've seen in a couple years.

3 days after i moved here i experienced my first monsoon. couple months after that my first dust storm. a lot of people seemed to have moved here in the last few years and think they're getting los angeles weather or something.

Yep, been 10 years now and I've been through countless of these. The good news is the wind was slow and the dust was really fine this time, there is a good chance it didn't scratch the hell out of my two cars. It kills me when I see people walking around outside without their mouth and nose covered, valley fever time.

This is the photo after a hand wash this morning. Appears the only damage is some minor clear coat scratches on the pillar above the drivers door where it got hit the hardest. Should buff right out on the next detail.
