Another point in Trek's favor: Fewer emo whiners like Anakin.

You'll never hear "Prepare for ground assault" in the Star Trek universe.

In all fairness, those laser blasts come at the speed of tennis balls.

Let's see what they can do with a 600 round per minute machine gun, then I'll be impressed.

Actually, if you ever compare Star Wars stuff to RL tech, RL tech wins a surprising amount of times. Their ships cruise up to distances inside the effective range of a smoothbore cannon before opening fire, and their fighters lack features such as all-round cockpit visibility and 'glass cockpits'.

That's part of the fun, though. Who wants to watch the two cool looking space ships duke it out from 100,000 km away?

I still put my money on a Bradley IFV vs. an AT-ST though.

Other reasons Star Trek is better...

One Death Star for Vader. Many many CUBES and SPHERE's for the Borg.

Ha ha.. I'm one of them.. Not into Captain Kirk, but got into "Next Generation".. Make it so..

They just killed Star Wars with the last trilogy they put out.

Prior to the last three Star Wars movies I would have said Star Wars. But, after episode three. I am now a bigger Star Trek fan. I'm probably in the minority here but, favorite Star Trek is Enterprise. It was cool to see how it all began. Our first trip into deep space. Most did not like Enterprise though.

within 30sec and before they can ever get close Spock will have a tri-corder reading and will reprogram it with a neturn burst that will short out those pixy sticks and if they were still dumb enough to try hand to hand combat, they would find themselves waking up 20mins later wondering what happened.

" Master, all he did was touch my shoulder, what power is this? "

while kirk mounts padmebra willingly.
