Alright I need some help from you wheel bearing experts here. I've been told that my front left bearing needs to be replaced. This was about a month ago.

About 15 minutes ago I heard a deep, rumbling, rotation kind of noise when I was driving. And it slowed down when I slowed the car down. Once I came to a stop, it stopped. Since I was in my neighborhood, I stopped again and it didn't make the sound. Anyone know if its the bearing or something else?

Is it a grinding or growling type of noise?

It's over 11 years old with almost 200k miles. It's a workhorse.

Might be a wheel bearing. Jack up the front and try shaking the wheel.
