Hood wraps

How have the 1le hood wraps been holding up over the years?

Not good around the hood vent. My car is 10 months old. I will be taking it in to get the Service Bulletin done on it.

I've had mine outside the last 2 years and most of it is holding up pretty well. Around the hood vent I noticed it's coming up a little bit, I'll take it in to be replaced sometime this year or my '24 will arrive and save me the effort.

Same as other have stated, slight pulling up around the hood vents. Granted, mine is 5 years old now, so I will likely just take it to get re-wrapped.

I recently got rid of my 2014 1LE and the hood wrap had zero issues with the exception of a couple pits from rocks. I believe they still use the same wrap?

As long as you take care of the wrap and the car isn't parked in the sun every day it will last a long time.

Just had mine replaced under warranty due to pulling around hood vents. Replacement wrap currently has 3 creases and 20+ pieces of dust/debris stuck underneath due to installation error, but the service department refuses to re-wrap for a month because 'that's how long it takes the wrap to settle'.

After 2 1/2 years, mine started to pull away from the vents. The dealer had a local vehicle wrapping expert replace the very thin factory material with a quality 3M satin black wrap that matched perfectly.

How difficult would it be to remove the factory hood wrap on a new 1LE?

I replaced mine a couple a years ago due rock chips from street and track use. I had the new wrap covered with Xpel stealth PPF and it is holding up great.

6 years strong. Just a little on the gray side thinking of redoing it but need to find a way to order the 1LE hash marks

It was the first thing I did when I got the car home, a hot sunny August day, 10mm socket to remove the hood vents and peeled it off. Car looks better IMHO.

Mine was great for the 3 year daily driver that it was, I never had any kind of issue with the wrap.

Wrinkling around the hood vent with some minor rock chips, might remove it soon for stripes
