2015 2ss

I am looking at a 2015 2ss/rs with a dealer installed 1le package. In 2015 what kind of difference would there be between a factory install and dealer install. My question is the owner says this car is referred to as a APEX camaro. Can not find anything on apex or any reference to same. Any help out there?

Apex sells wheels and suspension components. There was a 1le suspension only accessory kit available from gm that a individual could install or a dealer. Doesn't make it a 1le Camaro though by any stretch. There's a lot of upgraded parts specific to the 1le....transmission, rear gears, brake calipers, endlinks, spindles, wheels/tires, suspension etc, etc, etc. Not to mention the various exterior and interior specific pieces.

While the 1LE suspension only accessory kit doesn't make the car a 1LE, it's still a nice addition. About $1500 to purchase new + more if you're having someone else install it.

It is certainly a nice addition, but I wouldn't pay a 1LE price for it, because it's not a 1LE. I've had 6 5th gens now, including a 1LE, and I've never heard of an Apex Camaro. There used to be a vendor here called Apex, which imploded. As mentioned above, Apex wheels (active vendor on the Corvette forum), but I have no clue what an Apex Camaro is. Sounds like "1of1" bs editions vette owners like to claim.

If GM dealer actually installed, they will only install GM accessories which did include the 1LE suspension. Won’t make the car a 1LE tho. Take the VIN to a GM dealer have them look it up In the warranty system, it would document what was done. No such thing as an apex Camaro.
