Best place to tap into vacuum line for mechanical boost gauge?
Currently I have an ECS/Vortech Novi 1500 centri supercharger and am wanting to read purely boost. I believe I still have the stock MAP sensor in it, as I am unable to properly read boost from any OBD2 apps and the like.
With that said, I want to have a mechanical boost gauge with vacuum line so I don’t have to spend the money on a new map sensor and tuning. One of the lines already has a T that leads to my race bypass valve. Would it be wise to add another T to that line? Add one to the vacuum line that’s leading to the BPV? Or are there other, better lovations? Photos for reference (img 1 is the T’d line leading to the BPV) |

I would call ECS/PAxton and see where they suggest. I have a PC D1SC and they use a vacuum manifold so I tapped off of it. That manifold has the vacuum for the BOV, my meth inj and my AEM mechanical boost gauge.

Which, the line with the blue/green lettering? Or the actual line leading to the BPV?
The trick is to get either of them to actually answer the phone... |
