Is LT4 manufactured in both Tonawanda and Bowling Green?

Just curious...Is the LT4 built in BOTH Tonawanda, NY and Bowling Green, KY?

Motor Trend just put out an article about GM's additional investment in Bowling Green

Motor Trend Article:

".....GM will invest $44 million into Bowling Green’s Performance Build Center, which is responsible for producing the automaker’s LT4 engine that powers the Corvette Z06...."

Information from GM's Tonawanda Engine Plant website:

Products:
  • Ecotec 2.0L Turbo/2.5L – Chevrolet Malibu & Impala, Buick Regal & Cadillac ATS & CTS
  • EcoTec3 4.3L V6, 5.3L V8 & 6.2L V8 – Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Pickup Trucks and Chevrolet Tahoe & Suburban, Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon & Yukon Denali SUVs
  • 6.2L LT1 V8 for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (Ward's Automotive 10 Best Engine List for second consecutive year!)
  • 6.2L LT4 V8 for the 2015 Corvette Z06 and 2016 Cadillac CTS-V

I read an article that said the LT4 engines for the Z06 that had the Z07 option were build in BG and all others were built in Tonawanda. Also any cars that were ordered with the 'Build you own engine' were also built in BG. That could have changed since then.

I'm pretty sure they are all built in Tonawanda. Those for the Z06 are shipped to Bowling Green. The only exception may be the build-your-own engines.

Edit:
Just looked it up. You can build your own engine at Bowling Green.

This is correct.

This is incorrect. (notwithstanding the edit)

Z07 LT4s are all built in BG and get a plaque just like the LS7 engines. All non Z07 LT4s are built in Tonawanda.

Yup that's correct
I read as of 2016 all LT4 SC motors for ZO6 exclusively are built in house at BG facility.....Nice thing!
