About to turn 50-single, no kids, live alone. Anyone else?

Be 50 in a few months (can't believe it). Divorced 8yrs ago after a very brief marriage but long relationship (8yrs). Another 3.5 yr relationship ended in January.

Now I'm taking an extended break. I never wanted to have kids or get married and am a bit negative on relationships after my last one started so great and then shortly after living together, it was trivial nitpicking that deteriorated the relationship and my interest in it.

My condo should be paid off in 10yrs. I have my dogs and my social outlets (running groups) and like being able do whatever I want when I want pretty much. Having great weather all year round is a major plus too.

Anyone else in a similar lifestyle?

Well, I'm not. Not the same age as well. But some days, I go to bed and sometimes wish it was the case.

It's a long story... Oh well.

I'd say enjoy it. After some time you will see if something's missing in your life. If not, keep it as is and have fun! Life is too short.

I was...
I turned 50 in April 2017. Single, no kids, lived alone. Owned my own place, did what I want, when I want.
I bought my ZL1 in June 2017. In July a coworker introduced me to her friend. 4 months later she and her 3 kids moved into my place and haven't left.
It was a big change, but I'm ok with it.
Finances are tight, but I can still afford the payments on the Z, and I can still play ice-hockey 3 nights a week.
So all is good. Just different.

I moved in with my last g/f and her (spoiled/a$$hat) son after only 3 months. I've learned my lesson.

I'm 37 with 2 kids, one 3 and another just born, and I will say that I am slightly jealous of your lifestyle and am looking forward to the day when I can just do whatever I want. I think its important for everyone to live in the moment and enjoy life, whether you choose to be married and have kids, or not. Sounds to me like a "break" is just what you needed so take advantage!

I'm in my mid 20s. Never been married, got no kids, and live alone. Probably won't marry or have kids because I am a scumbag millennial.
