I'm done letting friends and family drive my stuff unless they have an equivalent level vehicle. In my current car, a neighbor and my sister both drove like a-holes when I let them take it for a drive, w/ me in it. The neighbor drag raced a gangbanger on a a busy 40mph city street, and my sister decided to test the handling limits by running a red light (complete w/ red light camera) in a left turn lane. The camera got us, and I can't imagine why I never got a ticket in the year since it happened.

People who don't have stuff like this just get stupid behind the wheel, and have no respect for your property, even if you're with them. My 16 y/o nephew on the contrary, drove it as carefully as it could have been driven. Go figure.

My clutch did the same thing a few times when I first got the car, the clutch peddle also got stuck half way to the floor twice. It hasnt happened again in the last year and a half. I think it is just part of the wear in process.

no, the pedal getting stuck half way in is not part of the wear in process.

Additionally, scratch the "weird shit" and replace it with "inadequate equipment".
The only reason the clutch should burn is because you are holding it half engaged. If you pull your foot off the pedal completely and the pedal stays down, something is wrong. And my SS did exactly that.
