That's the sad part. You have to compare it to other crappy US car audio systems to say it sounds good. OK, yeah. The Camaro's BA system sounds insanely awesome next to my '79 Olds Cutlass stock system.
When I was in Europe, I rented the absolutely cheapest Mercedes Benz available (A300 I think), and the sound system kicks the living dog snot out of the BA system.

I don't think it sounds that bad... but then again, I don't put it that loud as I want to hear the exhaust when driving the camaro.
Compared to Harman Kardonn system in my RR Sport, it's nowhere near of course. But a lot better than the factory installation in the Tuscan (which frankly... you don't hear at anything above 50mph). |

Not a big fan of it. I traded in my 10 Tundra Crewmax Limited with the "premium" JBL upgraded audio in it. I really enjoyed that factory system and once I heard the BA system, it pales in comparison IMHO. I just figured that my money is better spent on bolt ons and cosmetic mods at this point rather than a stereo upgrade.

O.K. So today I tied in a sub and amp into the factory amp connector as described in the DIY and it's MUCH better now. Just a small kicker 10" and a 250W Alpine Amp made a HUGE difference. It's not even a monoblock amp. Just an old 4 channel I had lying around.

in comparison to your general stock system, it's not bad. It's an upgrade from the standard POS speakers you get in your 90's and mid 2000's cars. The highs and mid are definitely clearer, however, it's not a system designed to rattle mirrors or give you back massaging bass. I believe the BA stock amp is 265 watts going into two 6.5" components, a 3" center channel and two 6X9s in the back. I wouldn't mind taking the system out of here and putting it into my beater car, but I will certainly be taking it out for my own upgrades.

I can barely hear mine . I put it all the way up and it's still not loud enough . I am waiting for ******** to release their amp , sub and box package to add it to mine . There is just no oomph to the stock BA system .

I have no complaints, but if you want to piss off the neighbors when you drive down the street this won't do it. Are you buying a car or a sound system?

It's alright, but the stock system in my Mazda CX-9 sounds much better. I had to tinker with the equalizer a lot to get the sound where I wanted it. As has been said before, it won't blow you away but it's decent.

Sounds like crap. I had the stock system in my 1LT and like it alot more than this BA in my 2SS.... Rattles like a tin can, sounds hallow and flat, even with adjustments.
