Talking Red Line Rims into Green Line Rims

When I bought my Camaro, they threw in Red Line Rims and all-weather Goodyear's.

Red Line Rims look great, however not with Krypton Green.

As a quick fix(before I drove it home) I had the green vinyl applied over the red striping. The color is 063 Lime Tree Green by Oracle.

They're currently in the process of getting the green vinyl removed and being painted to match the car.

I'll post another pic when they're done.

I've been trying to do this since I bought my car, but no on seems to be able to match the green with vinyl. I've been through 100's of samples and nothing. Did you have any luck? I feel painting may be the way to go as well, would match with the green calipers.

My dealership was going to paint them on, but decided against it cuz they didn't want to paint the whole rim, green stripes, and then risk scratching them when re-mounting the tires.

I agreed, so I'm stuck with the green vinyl. Though it doesn't match perfectly, no one really notices cuz no one has asked me about it. They tell me it looks great and LOVE the green stripes on the rims.

So in my opinion, don't worry about a perfect match. Just get as close as you can and the colors will play off each other and balance out.

My better half just told me she would turn me into a gelding if I traded rims. She likes them.

Sorry.

Anyone know if those vinyl decals will fit on the MRR M228 wheel designs? Doesn't have the outer bulge where you can nicely lay it as with those stock rims shown in the photos above do.
