10.5 (315) rubbing what size to fix?

running a 10.5 wheel and even with nitto invo 315 (supposedly are running less wide the all others) I get rubbing on big bumps. I want to smaller size but what should i run?

i think you may be limited by the rim offset and your drop....whats the offset and is it front or rear thats rubbing?

On the rear a 35 offset with a 10" rim works fine. So does a 10.5" rim

You mean a 35 rear offset will fit a nitto invo 315 or a Michelin PSS 315? PSS are quite a bit wider then invo.

My 10.5 is fitting just rubs on big bumps so i'd like to either measure my offset then shave it or buy a 305 tire thats about .3-.5 less of a width. so it clears.

Why don't you try running a 3mm spacer on the rear, it might give you the extra clearance you need, as others have pointed out, the wheel offset is the issue.

I'm well aware of the issue being the tire offset i dont think you understand my question regarding tire size.

A spacer would make them stick out past the fenders.

As you can see the tire has a bulge i dont know why but when i measured the rear rims they where 10.5. The nitto invo is not (way to wide) just barely it actually clears no problem but oncei hit a big bump i hear it rub and the tire had a cut in the bulged area from hitting the innder fender.

1. who has a tire that runs about .3-.5 skinnier? nitto invo says there 315 is 12.4 wide?
or
2. roll fenders
or
3. figure out offset and shave the mounting surface to clear free up some room.

If 3mm makes that big a difference, you're the dumbass for buying wheels with the wrong offset.

Based on everything you have said I think you need to run a more narrow tire(305), or buy new wheels.

Hence his numerous requests for a tire brand/size that is not as wide.

You never stated the aspect ratio or rim size?

HAHA.....so true. At first I thought he wanted to stick with a 315, but a skinnier one than he has already tried.
