Personally if there was a backseat delete option I'd put a check in that box. Have no need of it whatsoever and it's so close to worthless that it can't even be realistically considered an emergency backup to the family car. On the other hand I could make use of a flat area for storage

I had a 2002 Corvette Z06. 3118lbs from factory. I did heads, cam, long tubes, intake, tune and boy was quick. It had about the same power as the LT1 but the lightweight makes feel faster. It would get squirrelly in 3rd, hang on tight.

not really in the more recent generations. the Camaro3 and C4 were both around 3,400 pounds. The Camaro4 stayed in that range while the Corvette dropped to about 3,220.

I was bored and went over to the C7 list (top 10) and compared, their are only 8 on the CA6 list and I know they will get quicker but these are the averages at this moment; Corvette. 11.63 @ 119.48 with a 1.72 '60 Camaro. 12.11 @ 115.69 with a 1.82 '60 I thought their 60's would be better than that, the weight difference shows on the et and mph though.

Corvette didn't need much improvements. The biggest complaint in the corvette world is lack of a good interior. the camaro guys complain about the car being to heavy. I had a 5th generation camaro. That thing was a boat, and rode like a caddy. What did GM do ? corvette got better interior, and more performance, not to mention probably one of the best looking cars in the road. The camaro lost weight, and dramatically improved in performance. My opinion when comparing a camaro SS to a corvette. Both are fast enough, both have great interiors, and the same engine. it comes down to which car appeals to you more if you can afford either. The corvette appeals to me more than a camaro. One main reason, the exterior styling. With regards to this topic. unless you have tracked a c7 corvette, and a 6th generation SS. How can you really know which car is going to feel better? I don't know, i also don't base things off numbers. |

The C7 got the aluminum body and carbon fiber from the C6 Z06, the LT1 engine with an 8 speed automatic (if you want one of those) and an interior that makes even the new Camaro look a bit sad. That aluminum body is so now good you can have your convertible on the Z06, which in C6 guise had a bolt in roof. Performance improvements all around. No major advancements?

There are more on the C7 than the Gen6 Camaro.

If your Camaro weighs 3,604, then you either pulled weight out or have an almost empty fuel tank. |

I weighed my car with me in it at the track last week and it came it at 3862. I'm 200 lbs and the tank was about 1/4 full. That's a 1SS.

even if it weighed more i'm not sure it would be worth disrupting the balance further...would it?
