I doubt it will be a FPC twin turbo. The pistons and rods are lightened to work with the FPC. It would likely be a CPC 5.2 with two turbos. That way, they can run heavy duty pistons and rods.

I disagree. Whether you like anything Ford makes or not they're smart about their Halo models. Limited production. They'll sell every one of them.

Most likely a TT EcoBoost Coyote. The 5.0 is getting DI so it can actually become an EcoBoost motor.

Oh BTW the Coyote is going DI.

JK...everything is DI.

The real question is this: Since damn near every engine designed in the last 7-10 years is DI, will Ford be stupid and make it DI only (like nearly everyone has done), or will the take the lessons learned by Audi and Honda and make it a mix of port and direct injection to help with carbon build up and cold engine emissions?

Hopefully GM's next gen engines will use the combination approach.

Simmer down Hercules. The dealer nearest to me (that I always do business with) has 8-10 new 2016's and 2017's. The cheapest 2SS they have is $47,900. The most expensive 2SS is a convertible. It is ~$52k. My comment of $50k was spot on. If you got yours for $38k, good for you. I see yours is a 1SS. That explains a lot about the price. BTW, I checked 4-5 other dealers in the area and their pricing is on par with my dealer. One thing I can say is that the 2016's are getting a descent discount now because the 2017's are hitting the lots. Most dealers have an abundance of 16's on their lots and they need to ditch these things ASAP.

I think the new GT500 will be cool,but Im not sure it is going to be able to compete with the Camaro now that it is in the same company as BMWs.

The old Mustang was compared to BMW's also...doesn't mean they are in the same class. The Camaro isn't in some new class as if it's broken free of the slavers chains...it's simply a very fine example of the segment.

I think your on to something with the 5.2 CPC. That would be my guess as well.

Turbo's would be cool, but I think this will stay the path with a supercharged engine.

The only thing that may lead FPG to go the TT route is that it "fits" better with their current performance narrative. Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS, Fusion Sport, Raptor, FGT, . . . all turbo powered.
