2010 L99 falls on its face

Alright so here's the situation, 2010 SS L99 with about 116,000 on the clock. ADM race intake, Apex scoop, Apex Catch Can, TSP long tubes, catless mids, strong MAF, JRE tune.

Every so often, and I mean like 3 times a year maybe, when I come to a quick stop and go like a yield sign or a stop sign and realize there's no cars so I accelerate very shortly after coming to a stop, the car just loses power. I mean no throttle at all. its for long enough that I can hit the pedal a few times and check my gauges before the car returns to normal and I can accelerate again. Any idea what the hell could cause this?

I hope that description makes sense. Its kind of alarming when pulling out into traffic and you suddenly have no power.

Try it without traction control...and of course be careful.

Maybe a ported throttle body may help?

3 times a year....ooof on the re-creation, but I would bet Jannety would love a log of the event. I assume you may have an SCT or something. I vote either TCU or ECU hiccup due to all kinds of possible sensor readings of downshift, upshift, speed, braking, torque mgt, and throttle position. Just MHO. I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express the other night.

Possibly a throttle body issue. Motor may be going going out.

Have you ever tried to reproduce it...force the scenario on an open deserted road?

With no apparent rpm drop below normal levels you can rule out a misfire/fuel starvation. Definitely sounds like the drive by wire system has an issue.

When was the last time the spark plugs were replaced? At 116 thousand miles I would also run compression checks on all of the cylinders as well.
It sounds to me that it is probably an intermittent electrical gremlin that can be hard to trace.

That's my next step.

I replaced them about 10 thousand miles ago actually. OE replacement AC Delcos. as far as compression, the car runs and pulls strong. I have no horsepower loss.

hm... i have issues in those circumstances once in a while as well, but not a lack of throttle. mine bucks and surges on occasion after a short stop/go event. Only way to settle it down is coast for a few seconds or outright floor it. One generally leaves me sitting in the middle of a road staring down oncoming traffic and the other roasts the tires and makes me look like a moron. I always figured it was an airflow/throttle control issue.

Had similar problem with my 2010. It was the throttle body.
