Help please, bought a car with a cut engine harness :-(
Hi All, a new forum member here. I just bought a 2010 SS from auction and when I popped the hood discovered that someone had cut the engine harness next to the fuse box. It wouldn't be a problem normally because I would just splice the wires back together but there are multiple wires of the same color (4 light tan) so I was wondering if someone had a wiring diagram for the 2010-11 6.2L? I'm guessing because the wires are the same colors they are probably shared grounds among multiple sensors so probably not a big deal if one tan wire is swapped with another but I just want to make sure. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks!!

A new wiring harness from GM isn't all that expensive and will probably take you less time to change it than repair it. I accidentally burned my on my exhaust and swapped it out in a few hours.

Thanks guys for the support and recommendation to swap the harness. Were you able to reach all the sensor clips and replace the engine harness without removing the exhaust and accessories?

I would be more concerned with what else was done to damage the car? If someone was that pissed to cut the harness..... I would be taking it to a trusted mechanic and have the entire car looked over. At the least, I would be draining the gas tank and replacing all fluids.

The one for the A6 transmission was a bit tricky.

Anyone who has replaced their harness before know how long it took them from start to finish? Also, how difficult is it to do?
