1. The first allocations you received from GM for any vehicle's first run before the date given by GM should have gone to your customers and not ordered for yourself to sell above MSRP. (this was your first mistake) 2. You should follow the model that Camaroscotty and Eric Hall at Classic Chevrolet have set up for themselves in getting many enthusiasts to order from them by not only selling at MSRP but promising to honor all supplier and emplyee discount programs.. Would you honor supplier discount Sir??? Or be nice enough to ask your customers if they are a part of a credit union that they can get supplier discount on the Camaro.. https://www.exclusivegmoffer.com That is the link for you to give to your customers when they walk in.. 3. Following the above steps online and you will gain back your respect. Sell all your Camaro's at MSRP and honor discounts, even telling your customers how they can save money...Then and only then will you gain our respect.. Step 4, repeat steps 1 thru 3 for every customer... Fail to do these three steps above Dan and SALISBURYCHEVROLET ends up in this thread below.. Capeesh? http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=622 Quote:

online sales. I think everyone was under the impression there were people coming to the dealership wanting to order, but it was like okay, but you'll be third in line behind by 2 cars I put on EBAY. This, while your right to do so, is not an action conducive to good business in my opinion. |

It is our business, every American taxpayer owns part of his business. He's living on our tax dollars because his way of doing things almost put him out of business. He should listen to some of the advice on here and take an ethics class.

Definitely a guy thinking about himself first.
I don't have a big issue with him charging whatever he wants, but I wouldn't have done it first. He should sell to the average consumer...possible repeat business, word of mouth business.....his practices will NOT earn him that possibility..... My dealer ordered a camaro for himself as well as 6 or 7 others. He could have put his order at the top and had his first, he did NOT do that. He submitted my order and a few others first. This kinda business practices has got him over $ 80,000 in two orders from me in the past two years, as well as the "word of mouth" business I have sent him.

He owes you nothing but a good product and to stand behind that product with excellent customer service. How many of you tools are directly impacted by his decision to order a car, and sell it how he sees fit? Nobody.

Did you see the "In my opinion" part? Yeah, I know, you want to see what works for you. I know, it's okay for him to run his business as he wishes, but it's not okay for us to criticize his practices. Hmmm, what does that sound like. You're a beaut.
