I feel like the entire line looks, weirdly, more 5th-gen-ish. Especially the RS. Look at the original photo in the beginning of the thread, of the silver RS. It looks like a 5th gen.

The more I look at it, the more it just doesn't fit. The old front looks like it was designed along with the rest of the car. It matches. The new one looks like they chopped off the front and put a new fascia on that no longer matches the original design language of the 6th gen. It looks like a grafted tree. Yea it's a tree, but something just doesn't look quite right.

The refresh isn’t terribly bad. I only hate the bowtie on the bumper on the SS. But what do you people want from Chevrolet? People complained that the 6th gen change wasn’t radical enough resulting in poor sales. Looks like they are trying to address that. People hated the taillights on the 5th gen refresh, looks like they trying recapture the taillights from 2010-2013. Mustang owners complained too on their last gen, but it was exactly what Ford needed and now they are kicking our ass! Chevrolet had to do something as this refresh came a full year earlier than the 5th gen.

It's a refresh. Not a completely different generation. It's not suppose to look like a completely different car. It's to change it up to assist declining sales.

Or they only plan on having 2 more model years. 2021 will be the end of the front engine Corvette, which could really open up Camaro to a new level without stepping on toes

I did not buy a Gen 5 because of the movie Transformers.
My desire to make a future purchase of a Gen 6 is not influenced by the latest Transformers movie.
Looks like the Chevrolet marketing department had a lot of say here.
The latest “Bumblebee” and the refresh both look like shit.

Refreshes are always controversial. That being said, I immediately liked the 16 refresh on the Camaro and the 15 refresh on the mustang. The 19 Camaro refresh looks like pure garbage.

Well GM invented a new automotive term with this debut of the 2019 SS and the new 1500 truck.

Fender Fingers. Hahaha!! Man that SS looks bad. Sorry GM but fire your designer. Pretty bad when the V6, 4banger version looks better. We may be witnessing the last Camaro to be built. I cann't see how any one would want that front end. Hope they dont screw up the ZL1 as bad as that.

Of course Chevy had to do something. But who the hell thought just using the not well received 2017 Bumblebee frontend will make sales go up? I actually think the Turbo 1LE looks great and has a lot of 5th Gen elements, but the SS is just overdone.
