has anyone..

Ever noticed how inconveniently the steering wheel is placed it blocks out from about 2k rpm on up, I think GM should have placed the the speedo and rpm gauge on the opposite sides considering you have the digital speedo on the dic

well, for what it's worth, you do know you can adjust the steering wheel, and two, just press the menu button and you can see the whole tach on the HUD

two things

1) the steering wheel can be adjusting up/down

2) the speedo/tach locations mimic those in the 1st gen

Also, this:

I usually do, I don't feel like driving like I'm a trucker steering wheel all the way up, first time I noticed this and have 2k miles in a month and barely noticed as for the hud I never turn it on shift based on the note coming out the exhaust

3) Every vehicle made in the past 25 years or so with a round Speedo has this problem..

At least every one I have owned.. The worst so far IMO was my Avalanche.. The steering wheel was off center (designed that way) and even adjusting the wheel it blocked 2/3s of the gauges in most positions.

Yes I noticed how gauges are not visible when I have my steering wheel adjusted comfortably. Luckily with the HUD I keep the wheel comfortable for driving. Think HUD should be standard now days..

There is always room for improvement.

Owning the car for two years now, I don't think I've ever looked at the gauges, only the HUD. I did notice however on the older gauge package, that the main engine warning light is hidden under the speedo needle when travelling at 35 - 40 MPH (most common city speed).

You're not complaining and telling everyone to not take it to heart, yet it bothered you enough to start a thread about it?
