And from the Lightning Lap 2016:

http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...un-2-47-s.html

"Man you look the list of cars that the GS has beat and is pretty incredible. Better times than the Audi R8, Nissan GTR, 911 Turbo, BMW M4 GTS, Mercedes Benz AMG GT, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Mclaren 570S and it also beat the New Acura NSX easily by 3 seconds. I am pretty sure that even the new MB AMG GT-R is going to have a hard time going below 2:47"

Wasn't there recent postings somewhere that the ZL1 is testing faster than the GS w/ZO7?

I too have been wanting to get the GS, but with the new numbers out on the camaro, it is interesting. I have all winter to think about it. I love the look of both vehicles

Man, every time I look to upgrade out of my Z06, I look at these lap times and realize, I'm daily driving one of the best machines on the planet. Life sure sucks at times.

That looks really good. Reminds me of the dark cherry metallic on 94-96 impalas.

You're just asking for God to throw you a real life curve ball with a comment like that.

Do you even own a Vette ? I do and I'm at meets all the time. Corvette Club Member. Two of my friends who have the Grand Sport get the comments from the boys all the time since they arrived here this past August...

"Couldn't afford the real thing?"

"You're just trying to be a poser?"

I like Vettes, this is my 4th... Other 3 were Z06's

I'm only repeating what I see and hear. Yes people are mean and some are even jealous. Whatever this is a Camaro ZL1 forum.

The Vette forum is over there ....

I have owned 2, 2016 Z06s great rides. I would take the new ZL1 Over a GS and actually I may take the new Auto Trans ZL1 Before I buy another Z06? Will wait for a few months before I decide. Either way you cant go wrong.

A very difficult choice. One I was contemplating all Summer. Then the 20% Discounts on 2016 Corvettes happened and I ended up getting neither although I am now looking at 1LEs as a DD.

Haha, if you only knew. Every day I'm ducking curve balls. I've just gotten real good at not getting hit yet.

That is a pic of a Z06, but I think you can get a Grand Sport with everything on it that a Z06 has except the supercharger of course.
