looking for help on bowtie

I just bought a ZL1 . I want to replace or change the factory bowtie . I would like to have the yellow part of the bowtie to be black and keep the border chrome. Any one know the easiest way to do this ?. Dose any know where i can buy one like that ? or how to change the ones i have. I don't mind spending the money. I just wont it to look like it came from the factory that way .

I just cleaned the entire bowtie with naptha based lighter fuel and wiped dry. Carefully masked off the chrome bezel and applied three coats of black metallic Dupli-Color enamel. Came out nice. Did the same to my 2012 Chevy Silverado a couple of years ago. It has held out well and looks better than vinyl overlays up close. Here's a shot of the Camaro bowtie:

And here's the one I did on my truck:

I say vinyl or plastidip. The most cost effective and non permanent. I just did my wife's truck with gloss black vinyl. Got it on eBay for around 7 bucks shipped for a 1'x 5' roll.

Hobby Lobby sells small 12"/12" squares of all colors of vinyl ..just cut a piece a little larger than needed,,then pull off the backing stick it over bow tie then trim around the inside chrome edge with razor knife..
Cost @ $.97 plus tax.

A dremel tool.

As for the OP, I bought some GM black touch up paint from advanced auto. It has a brush that is like a nail polish brush that I used to paint mine. Super easy and if you get it on the chrome by accident it comes right off.

carbon fibor overlay, $10 for a sheet the size of a sheet of paper. Just like vinyl, very easy to use.
