Spolier Install
I am thinking about installing this spoiler to my 2010 1LT:
http://www.shopchevyparts.com/exteri...-92248201.html How hard do you think it will be? What are the chances the color will not match because of fading? Thanks. |

I have a 2010 SS that I installed a new spoiler on, and after taking off the old spoiler there was no indication of any fading in the paint. This was done last fall, I bought my Camaro in Nov 2009.

install should be fairly easy with factory holes and such. Shouldn't have any paint fade. Install maybe 20 minutes

I'm just worried about drilling the holes.

I installed that spoiler on my 2011 SS..they do look the best to me..
It does use factory holes in the SS for the trunk lid..my troubles came when I took the old stock factory spoiler off,,it is not the same footprint as your new one,,so it did pull the paint up ,several small spots on the ends just a little where the new spoiler does not cover,,(paint stuck to the old rubber cushioning strip) so go real easy there.. It took me about 2 hours because the 2 side pieces were a real bitch to start the the nuts on those studs,,there is very, very, little room for your hand or fingers to start the nuts..you'll probably be flopping around in the trunk as I was.. Mine did come with a paper template that helped with drilling the side pieces.. Brake light is no problem .pull back seat back loose, gently pull plastic panel loose (It's under passenger side small window..then it's simply plug and play.. Good Luck. |
