New member/New Camaro owner from Charleston, SC

Hello all, I just wanted to introduce myself, I’ve been lurking mostly but look forward to participating more. This forum seems to be excellent compared to some others I’ve been involved with in the past.

A few months ago, I started looking for a new toy/project. Ultimately I decided on a new camaro. Originally, I was looking at LT1s, but after searching around, I decided on an SS 1LE. There were two local here in Charleston for sale, both 1SS models, a dark shadow metallic auto, and a satin steel metallic 6 speed.

I ended up picking up the 6speed in Satin steel metallic ( 1SS 1LE ) and couldn’t be happier. The only options on the car are the 1LE hash marks and PDR. So far I’ve added ACS side skirts, front and rear rock guards, and window tint.

Future plans are: ported heads, MSD manifold, 103mm throttle body, E85 kit, cam, headers, and exhaust. I’m undecided on what cam and ported heads I want to use right now. I’ve already ordered CSP’s headers and stainless works full exhaust. I have been researching shops in NC,FL, or GA area to do the work. There isn’t any shops in SC (that I’m aware of) that I trust to do the install and tune.

I will make a build thread in the future once I get things going. Look forward to being a member!

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
