badges and marker mod

OK - here's the badge/ marker mod...I don't dislike badges if done right just not chrome ones, (or ones the swim). So off came the rear Corvette badge and the side fish.

1st up (and I'm sure controversial), is I don't mine telling people what kind of engine I have and also done discreetly, this can't be seen from 15 feet away. The LT1 Letters made for me by Roger at Emblempros.com

Dark Tint strips- the still reflect, just don't look as obtrusive. These are the vinyl ones, as they are a smooth surface fit. From RPIdesigns.com

You can see the look here, just less conflicting yellows and reds

Chrome letters off, Carbon flash on - again from RPIdesigns.com

Chrome front strip - Simple strips of vinyl - from VetteFX

rail scuff protection

I don't like the fake carbon fiber vinyl on the outside of a car, IMO, it looks "added on" and boy racer. But the stuff is great to cure problems just like this. Even with the protection above, I still drag my foot on the frame rail getting out of the car. This stuff solves the problem - also cut it and use it to cover the safety stickers on the visors...simple application: peel and stick, then hit it with the hair dryer...peels off and leaves no residue if you don't like it. I'll replace this every 6 months. Here's where to get it - pick your color:

3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber Vinyl

Works well Glen…didn't see this on your other build thread. No problems with the vinyl sticking to the rough surface near the sill?

No… Obviously just like everything else I do so, clean with rubbing alcohol prior to sticking on the vinyl… Then hit it with a heat gun Just to smooth a little bit

Good work with the "Corvette" logo Glen. The carbon fiber above the door sills is a great touch too.

How is the v shaped corvette emblem fastened to the front and rear? I'm thinking of removing them when my car arrives.

Strictly tape, no pins....use goo gone and fishing line..soak it for a hour and "saw" it off....

Hey Glen,

On your front grille is that flat black or carbon flash vinyl?
