2020 Corvette officially delayed until February 2020

The mid-engine 2020 C8 Corvette won't arrive by the end of 2019, a Chevrolet spokesman confirmed Wednesday. The highly anticipated sports car, which was originally slated to reach owners' hands at the end of the year, will be delayed until next year due to the work stoppage at GM plants that lasted six weeks. Chevrolet spokesman Kevin Kelly confirmed to Motor Authority that the 2020 Corvette will begin production in February.

And how is this a general discussion relating to the sixth-generation Camaro?

I think it is just an FYI for some of us that are eagerly waiting with open arms to see what the new 'Vette has in store for us in person. I for one am a car guy that enjoys many variations of Chevrolets line up. As well as other manufacturers. While I do personally come here for "Camaro Stuff", I don't mind, and rather enjoy a bit of knowledge outside the Camaro bubble of this forum.

Just saying, don't make someone feel like they are not contributing to the cause because they mention other car related topics.

It probably wasn't going to arrive by the end of 2019 even it had remained on schedule. There's no way that any of them would have actually shipped early enough to arrive by the end of December.

I know i'm probably being overly optimistic, and i know it's been discussed at length in another thread, but I'm thinking C8 sales might help out Camaro sales, because:

1. manual transmission only in Camaro
2. front engine hoonage, or more forgiving track fun.
3. General halo effect of C8 brings to GM

will we know of any C8 effect in 2020 2nd quarter Camaro sales?
