CarPlay works great so far for navigation. I had nav in my CTS-V and never used it. I always used my phone. Map data is outdated around here on a weekly basis it seems. I will take an internet based map any day. Using CarPlay for nav and music at the same time was awesome.

Question,
So once you paired your phone you were able to see the map of the course on your PDR recording? I’ve been trying to get this to work but no luck? And are your video recordings through The Cosworth toolbox and then uploaded to YouTube?

Getting the map to show on the PDR has nothing to do with pairing with a phone. It must be in Track overlay. You have to mark a start/finish line ONE TIME PER TRACK. After your first full lap, it should start showing the overlay, along with lap times.

I have PDR in my '17. I never even checked to see if I had Navigation.

I ordered my 1LE back in August and it came in mid October.
The PDR was an extra cost option and I had to order it.
Navigation with the upgraded sound system wasn't available as an option.

PDR always was an added cost option for the 1le. Though I thought for late ‘17 orders and now the ‘18 orders the PDR wasn’t a forced option like it was in the early ‘17 order cycles. And as far as the nav and stereo, did you order a 2SS or 1SS 1le? No nav option for the 1SS 1le, not sure about the 2SS though.

These old threads being revived bring back great memories lol....all the excitement and anticipation around what the 1LE would ultimately offer and for me the hope that I would get a decent trade in offer so I could get one myself. As far as NAV goes I could honestly care less, apple car play is phenomenal and does a much better job than any factory system I've had.

I ordered later in the 2017 cycle, Nav was an option. I chose against it. Glad I did. Now that Waze is available on Android Auto I can watch for smokeys much easier.

You sure about that? IO6 (Mylink w/ Naviagtion) was never an option on the 1SS in 2017.
