The RS package is worth it imho on the SS. Love those Camaro eyes and I also wanted the darker taillights and painted roof ditch molding.
My car took 10 weeks, but that includes the 3 weeks that at the factory was closed for the holidays. So, you are probably looking at 7 or 8 weeks. Congrats on your order! You will love it. |

If you just ordered a few days ago you can probably call and have it added on to your car. until the order is picked up by production control I think you can still change it.

numbr3t: If you can't add the package for the headlights now and decide you want them later, its possible. A vendor on here (AAC Style) has products that either exceed or are on par with stock. Truthfully, the biggest benefit to having the RS package is most likely the resale value. If past experiance tells me anything about cars, the ones with the most options included tend to hold their value better. Now, if you plan on driving yours until either you die or the car does(like me) its not much of an issue. The best piece of advice I can give you is anything you can possibly think of has most likely allready been covered by this website. With a little bit of patience you can find anything you need here. There is literally no section of this website that isn't helpful.

I believe the SS comes standard with the 20" midnight silver wheels and spoiler. So the only thing you're getting that you wouldn't get on your base SS is body-colored roof ditch molding, the halo HID headlights, and the darker tail lamps.
Up to you if it's worth $1,200. |

HID maybe... but not PROJECTOR RS package was worth it to me just to get factory HID Projector lights. It's been discussed ad infinitum already... some other people don't think it's worth the price... others didn't have a second thought that their Camaro was going to be an SS/RS. |

Thanks for the help with that guys. I found a good thread with a bunch of comparison shots. I think I actually like the look of the SS lights better than the RS ones. Im sure I would like the performance of the RS lights better but we'll see. If im not impressed with the SS lights, Ill look into the RS ones.
With the roof moldings being black...oh well I dont mind them that much. I have a feeling Im going to love this car no matter what. I plan to keep it and drive the hell out of it so resale value really doesnt matter to me, thats not what I bought the car for. This forum ROCKS BTW! |
