This message will come on when:
. The engine coolant temperature
is higher than 76°C (169°F).
. The vehicle is accelerating from
a stop and going 24 to 31 km/h
(15 to 19 mph).
. The vehicle is at 21 percent
throttle or less.

Just another reason to keep the throttle above 21 percent....

You accelerated in 1st and shifted early? And it booted you out?

I understand it's to save fuel.. But I don't know exactly how it works.
Her you go. Give this a read.

I didn't notice it yet....I came out of a 2002 SS where it came on pretty easy, but my two rides so far in the ZL1 I didn't see it. And I really didn't give it alot of throttle pressure either.

First thing I did to my SS after waxing her was to install the skip shift elimination harness. Why own a manual and not be able to shift it. Okay I saved $700 gas guzzler tax but just sayin.......................

Just imagine how much the GG tax would be if it didn't have the skip shift!

Well, now that makes no sense to me. The skip shift is on the Vettes and SS to avoid the gas guzzler tax. I'm sure you guy's had to pay that on the ZL1' so it has no purpose.
