Thanks for the in-depth look, Evil-Bee
I installed a 22" I believe a 24 or 26" will be the max light you'll be able to see through the bottom grill.

Dyno Sheets

100% Stock Mid-August 2016, 72 Degrees - It's been said a few times but GM is clearly not properly reporting their crank numbers.

Bolt-Ons Early October 2016, 56 Degrees - Injen CAI, ZZP Catted Downpipe Didn't add the Axle-Back til after but doubt that it'd change anything.

Bolt-Ons w/72mm TB and 3" CP Early April 2017, 47 Degrees - Injen CAI, ZZP Catted DP, Flowmaster Axle-Back, JacFab 72mm TB and 3" CP added a bit more flow and evened out some curves.

Bolt-Ons & ECM Tune Mid-April 2016, 70 Degrees - All the above bolt-ons and an ECM tune to explain this clearly GM uses an ass ton of torque management and in 2017 they pin locked the ECM and TCM separately from one another so unless you unlock both you can'y mess with all the torque management in either module.

Hey, any particular reason you went with the Injen Wrinkle Black CAI over the Evolution? I thought I've read multiple people on here claim the Evolution was by far the best for Gen6 2.0's.

To be 100% transparent and honest I bought the Injen Open-Box CAI before anything else was available. I to this day have zero issue with it and I love the turbo noise I can now hear you don't get that with the Evolution. I will say the Evolution is a better setup marginally if only because it doesn't draw in nearly as much warm underhood air and our cars make a ton of that with the DP and Turbo. I'll be finishing my tune in January and refining it in the spring when I finally send my TCM out to be unlocked. I have every intention of decreasing underhood temps by wrapping my Charge Pipe, Downpipe and Putting on a Turbo Heat Blanket and then customizing the Open-Box CAI to seal it off from the underhood better so stay tuned after Christmas for that. I also have every intention of going to CamaroFest 8 so if your going it'd be cool to meet-up with some fellow 2.0T drivers.

As far as the Evolution being the best that's mostly the closed off-air box guys they are correct in a lot of ways but I believe the new ZZP CAI when the kinks are fixed and if CAI Inc. ever get off their butts they will likely have the best setups period.

Creep'd to see how your car was doing and gauge potential parts before I buy them.....I "SHOULD" be at CamaroFest 8 since I will no longer be active duty by that time I should have a full ZZP built up engine...

Awesome. Build is slowing up a little outside cosmetic stuff for this year. I wanna get better at launching the car at the strip before I take my next major performance mod upgrade.

Fair enough....I'm at a standpoint for cosmetic after I get the TS-1 hood then all the money will be flooded to performance. Then headed back to cosmetic for a full custom paint.

Cool ya I have my bucket list for the year almost completed. Just finishing my HP Tuners Tune in January and the Mishimoto Coolant Overflow Tank then it's all shows and dragstrip til next fall.

Turbo Blanket & ZZP Heatshield

Got my Thermal Zero Turbo Blanket Installed today along with my ZZP Heat Shield over it. I've been asked why spend money on the heat shield when it's less effective then the stock one well I have the turbo blanket under it so it's more effective overall combined and the stock shield is UGLY AF. People spend over a $100 dollars on a painted piece of plastic to cover a fuse box so seemed like a better route.

Overall the turbo blanket install took about 5 minutes only because I had to go back inside to find my tin snips for the wire. My advice and whiskeyfed found this out is do this before you drive the car for the day. I placed the blanket on how it was called for and then took it off to make a loop with the wire and attached it to the underside hooks then ran the blanket and the wire back under and pulled the wire through to the top hooks and wound the wires around them keeping the blanket snug. Doing this with large hands and after a drive will result in beat up knuckles and burns so ya.

The heatshield install was another matter, I knew i'd only be able to do 1 bolt on the lower end with the turbo blanket I can clean that up later easy enough so with the$99 ZZP Heatshield comes 3 bolts 1 long and 2 short. the 3 stock bolts are all the same length so not sure what the choice for the shorter bolts was because with the blanket on I found the ZZP SS bolts to be to short and i'll probably go to the hardware store to get matching bolts later. It fits perfectly but takes some effort to line up with the blanket under the shield ultimately I think it makes the engine bay look 10x better.

P.S. Edit;

On first drive the turbo blanket will smell and smoke this is normal the ceramic is breaking and hardening. It is very alarming but should stop after a drive or two I drove home tonight and opened the hood when I got home there was no light coming from the blanket or heat shield and it was 1130pm so pitch dark out. I'll post a picture tomorrow of that after my phone charges.

Both the blanket and heat shield look mint, now only if you could measure the under hood heat temps....
