If your in sales and make commission it doesn't matter what your withholding is. I take 9 and still get a ton back because commissions is 2/3rd of my take.

I had my mind set on car parts but this little jewel caught my eye.

Well for the first time in 10+ years I actually got some money back, as a result of adding solar to my house and well buying a house..

wasn't much, so I used it to buy my daughter this: 8" HD Cassegrain Reflector Telescope.

while normally I would have put it away, she's been asking for an upgrade to her 4" Newtonian for several months as she has basically outgrown it (starter scope for young kids)

Lol.. I never gave it much thought, but I don't really share food with my wife either, our "tastes" are very different, I like highly seasoned food (not salt, but actual seasonings like rosemary, oregano, etc) and she likes bland food..

As for the kid, well she's my only child, and is a highly advanced child (9 years old almost finished with High School) Her math and reading/comprehension skills are college level. She plays Piano, Flute, and Violin, piano since she was 3 and flute/violin since she was 6.

As such I try and encourage her interests as much as I can (and can afford). using her ipad and her 4" telescope she has educated herself on the night sky based on what she can see with the little scope.

Took her to the observatory a few months ago and she got to use the big 12" Zeiss Telescope Scope and a whole new world of things she can't see with the 4" opened up. 3x the size but allows in 3000% more light for viewing deep space objects.

I can't afford $30K for a 12" scope.. But this 8" was one of those "can't pass it up deals" slightly used for 1/3 the cost of it and all the accessories new..

Since the Government is cutting pay and benefits to our military personel I make this suggestion. Take a portion of your refund and either pay a bill for a military member or buy them something for their vehicle. Myself, I paid for the tag renewal for one.

Very nice! I try to watch the ISS fly-by whenever its visible, love to check it out with a telescope like that, I get the schedule from "heavens-above.com". Had hubby check it out and he said "that's it".
