Looks like an actuated cutout right? Keep them closed? Or are you saying the cutouts themselves are rattling?

As for remote start, I don't have an auto, but isn't there a setting in the DIC that turns this on and off?

Like Fran replied, redo the exhaust unless you want to keep the cutouts.

Cut outs

Put a nice cam in it You will love the performance and it should sound killer with the cut outs.

My 5th gen LS-3 was cammed with electric cutouts. At idle with the cam chop and the cutouts open - it sounded awesome! A stock engine with open cutouts does not sound good unless you like the sound of a clapped out beater truck.

OP - if the actuators on the cutouts still work then just keep them closed. If they are stuck in the open position just have a muffler shop cap them or cut them out.

Yes the x-pipe will replace the stock exhaust and cutouts since you are putting headers and an x-pipe on your ZL1.

I would personally just get them off of my car. It sounds good with some muffling, no need to be completely obnoxious.

Well unless you are on the 1320' then maybe. But just around town is silly. IMHO

The exhaust looks like your car is running rich. Looks black/sooty in the pipes.
