Possible Trackday issues with 2LT.

I recently went to my first track day (not strip) and my trans starts shifting with a bit of a delay and comes in hard halfway through a good session. Feels like hitting the limiter then shifting, but it'll do it even at 4500rpm. It does this with tapshifters and in drive.

Is this a sign of overheating?

If I drive it about 80% for a lap or 2 it starts working fine again. It doesn't seem to gradually get better or worse, it just starts out of nowhere. Almost like its programed to let you know you are pushing too hard.

What can be done to fix this, and prevent damage.

2015 2lt RS.

Could be slippage based on the increased temps.

You might consider a trans cooler.

I've raced AutoX for several years. I wouldn't wouldn't go on any course without increased tranny and possibly engine cooling. I always felt the factory coolers are marginal at best for a grocery getter.

Good luck. Maybe someone with more current knowledge can pipe up.

Thank you, yea i have been looking at transmission cooling options lately. Parts seem cheap, just have no idea what kind of fittings i need for a no cut/ bolt on install.
