HELP Weird noise coming from engine need
After doing a pull the other night I have this weird noise coming from the engine. I have a p0310. Afr will run lean and also run rich. It’s a gpi ss3 cam, ported heads, full valvetrain and on e85. It’s a squealing/ chirping noise. https://youtube.com/shorts/tJtSl-6QtFA?feature=share

Sounds like a clicking chirp rather than a squealing chirp
Clicking could be valves but otherwise I'm just spitballing here. I defer to other's expertise.

My cammed 2010 SS LS3 made very similar sounds when the engine spun a lifter sideways and the lifter roller was skidding over the cam lobe instead of rolling over the cam lobe. I hope it’s not that for you.
I had to rebuild the top end as I ended up with ten bad liters and ten wiped cam lobes. As best I could figure the dual valve springs were too stiff causing the pushrods beat the lifters and cam lobes to pieces. Or I got a bad cam core that was too soft and it delaminated. I had 17k miles on the cam setup when it all went to hell. Good luck and I hope it’s something simple for you.

Pulled it all apart and lifters look good, injectors look good, spark plugs look good, hpfp lifter looks good. There is one rocker that has some resistant so I’m hoping it’s that. Then I’m hoping with the car running lean and rich it’s just a bad o2 sensor.

Thanks for the update. A misfire can make it go rich lean

So pulled it’s all apart and everything looked perfect. Put it all back together and now there’s no noise just the car running between rich and lean so I bought a new o2 sensor and hoping that’s the issue. Gonna get a datalog tomorrow to see if there’s any misfires.
