Nice find, COPO's have a future too, just store one in a barn for 40 years.

As a child, had a next door neighbor with a teenage boy. Kid saved up all his paper route money to buy this exact car except it was silver. He bought it brand new and paid cash.

Six years later he traded it in on a new Trans Am. He still kicks himself...

Before someone says it's crazy to pay $350K for an old car in this condition, just remember the value of classic cars is based on how much someone is willing to pay for it. There are no set "prices" or pay scale on classic cars. The rare option combination and year (and assuming, low mileage) on this GTO Judge is what makes it so valuable and desireable. If it was in perfect restored shape, it could easily fetch $700K+. Again, it all depends on how much someone is willing to pay over others.

On that note, I know that I personally would rather have a GTO Judge in original condition (even if it is a barn find) than a brand new Lamborghini Aventador or Ferrari 599 (which start somewhere close to the $350k of this car)

Holy jesus, that's a sweet car, rough condition but would be fun to restore that thing for sure!

I'm gonna go throw my Monte in the shed, won't ever be worth anything, but i'll do it anyways.

Thats pretty cool. Not going to lie.

Someone will pay it, just to say they have an original one.

i would just get a lemans vert and make it a judge and call it a day. That way you can drive the thing. It's hard for me to have cars that you couldn't drive, like this one when it is restored.

Classic car prices go up and down just like stocks. We had a big bubble a few years back when people were taking out home equity loans to buy muscle cars. I think super-rare cars like this will be fine more or less but so-so stuff ...

A concourse restored minty mint Cardinal Red 1970 GTO Judge RAIV Convertible sold for 280K per recent episode of Chasing Classic Cars (Velocity Channel).

I'd take a Carousel Red '69 GTO Judge coupe (RAIII or RAIV)..... dreamin'

Really? 350K for that heap of junk?

I'm sure the money could have been put to better use. Just a guess.
