Yea, but the longer it takes, the longer they will be exposed to a 'bad rep' which will end up hurting them more... That's one of the reasons I am hoping they can get out of this quicker than what is being expected. If people would stop believing the false sense of foreign automakers having better quality as well as having more fuel efficient vehicles, then I believe the Big 3 will be able to get back on track. I can't stand the people who say American cars aren't fuel efficient when Chevrolet has the most fuel efficient fleet out on the streets...

I LOVE GM vehicles, and particularly Chevy's, but would buy any GM vehicle if I had the $$...Hopefully, one day, soon enough, a 5th Gen CAMARO! Dave_O

They wouldn't be in such rough shape if people were buying cars at normal rates, but they aren't. Average sales for November were 35% less than in November of 2007, thats everyone -GM, Honda, Ford, Toyota, BMW, everyone. October was down 30% , and September was down 27%. Things aren't expected to improve for a while.

I completely agree with that.... However, it doesn't help that all those here who are buying vehicles are buying the imports due to those false truths... A prime example, one of my friends from high school just got a foreign car, and her reasoning was because they get better mpg's...I had to tell her off because of how wrong she was... And I know so many others who have done that as well... One of my friends parents went from an 02? Buick LeSabre to Toyota Avalon because it was 'better'

AGGHH!!!!

If anybody's from Alabama: Email this guy...tell him to...gah, I don't know what to tell him...
We could all just call. Look up a ZIP code from his district and threaten to vote him out of office if he doesn't change his mind. Tell him that GM and Ford saved American from fascism and communism, and his un-American behavior should get him no less than voted out of office and probably much more. The angry constituent approach really gets through to some elected officials when they're voting against you're opinion. Make sure you sound educated so that his office doesn't disregard your call.
