Buzzing when changing HVAC air direction
Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well!
I was changing the direction of airflow from the hvac system from blowing out of the windshield over to blow air towards my head/feet. When I went to switch the airflow direction, I heard a buzzing sound coming from the front of the car. Not sure if this me just being paranoid or the motors are starting to go out. Has anybody experienced something similar or know what the fix is? I'm putting the car away next week so it's really the least of my worries right now. *I do have some videos but the audio is very faint. If it does help I have no issue posting them here* Thanks everyone! |

More than likely the actuator motor or vents are not moving, stuck or jammed.
This would be a Dealership warranty resolution. Unless you no longer have a warranty? In which case I defer to others on the forums on the work required to perform to resolve the issue.

Bumper to bumper is long gone. I think I have about another 6 months before my powertrain warranty is out the window.

Everything works as it should. Big thing is if I’m able to catch it before it gets worse you know? Rather deal with something minor rather than a bit headache down the road

If airflow is good, and switching zones works. It may be related to wiring for the system. Just making educated guesses.

How quiet is it?
I gave mine a try today and I would have to turn the NPP exhaust to Touring, have the fan at the lowest speed, and mute the radio just to hear a very, very faint buzz, which I considered to be pretty normal.
