I'd go with a set of lowering springs if I wanted to improve the looks. Low looks so good on a Camaro. Or hit us up for a discount on an intake as they are easy, tune free horsepower.

And guys, if a dealer is telling you that an intake or an axleback will void your warranty don't go there any more. Most dealers will let you get away with most bolt ons before saying anything. Also, even if you do get into some serious mods like heads/cam they still can't void your entire warranty. If your power seat breaks they can't say the cam broke it. They can void your powertrain warranty possibly but nothing more.

So my GM CAI with tune update voided my warranty?

Not if GM did it.

You will also see paint marks on some bolts they look to see if the line has been broken.

That would fall into the burden of proof category, which falls to GM - you can take off the TB to change the gasket. That said, anyone who has tried making a warranty claim with GM knows it is a crap shoot even for something completely unmodified, or even with a known warranty issue...

Another vote for track day.

I made a post about this a couple years ago, so I won't rehash the whole thing. But, I did a track day where I drove a Lambo Aventador in the morning, and my 100% stock (even 1yo stock tires) 2017 SS. And my SS was .1 second faster through a high-speed "esses" portion of the track (no match on the straights, though).

Mods make a fast car. Track days make a fast driver.

1. There's a lot of small interior mods you can do for under 400.00
2. You could do louvers if you're into that look
3. New floor mats
4. rim lights if you like that look

There's a lot you can do for under 400.00.

It's 13% better CFM than stock. 793 vs 920 as tested on an SS. Obviously different for the V6. But it's the best drip in air filter and you can't tell me there's no gain when I've seen other test saying otherwise, where it does better than some CAI systems.

Also Dyno test are an awful way to really test CAI installs. Watched several videos about this.

O.P. you can look into BMR suspension upgrades to put more of your stock power to the ground. Trailing arms and rear cradle brace will make a noticeable improvement taking off from an manual trans. i recently put a green filter and cut an opening on the side of stock airbox, per Pray's testing on an older thread and it has helped with throttle response nicely.

That's 4 total upgrades for right at $ 400 altogether.
(Lower & upper trailing arms, rear cradle brace, green filter)

After that, like everyone agrees, take it to the track & you will be smiling.

Was curious about cutting a hole in the stock air intake. Ive heard nothing but great things about it, but theres always room for improvement. Im hesitant to cut a hole in brand new car, but I will be throwing an exhaust kit on, and drop in green filter. Could you link the thread your talking about?
