Im in the Metro-Detroit area less than 2 hours from the plant, and based on others near me, I was expecting 2-4 weeks for delivery. But surprisingly, I got a call from my salesman 2 days ago that it was being delivered! So Mine was built on 7/10 and delivered to the dealer on 7/17. I feel like the exception to the rule but so happy I got her home finally! I hope you guys gets your soon cuz its so worth the wait.

Those Jack Cooper trucks can haul 10 or 11 cars IIRC. On a typical load it would be quite interesting to know the span of build date of them. Camaro 1 could likely have been built months before Camaro 11.

I can provide you with three examples:

1) Ordered 2SS 1LE mid-January, built end of April; the car is sitting in a lot in Lansing with no ETA.

2) End of January, I picked up a canceled order for a 2SS 1LE that was “in transit” that was built in January. The car moved from a lot in Lansing to a railway lot outside of Detroit and just waiting there for delivery. That car has been in transit for six months now with an ETA that has slipped from May to end of July.

3) I picked up a customer canceled ZL1 that was built May 4th and delivered to the dealer June 9th. That was just five weeks in transit. I flew to SD the following week and drove it back to Charlotte. Was a nice 1,400-mile break-in road trip.

I got tired of the waiting and the uncertainty of the cars condition sitting in open lots. The sun and the elements beating down on the car is not good. So, when I saw an opportunity of a car in a dealer’s show room with a quick shipping; I immediately bought it. When the ZL1 was in my garage safely, I canceled my two other 2SS 1LEs and got my deposits refunded.

The shipping situation is just a “mystery.” There is nothing that makes sense that can be explained. Good luck guys, I have felt your pain and frustration and there is not much you can do about it.

Depends on your location and whether or not it gets on a train. My dealer was an hour from the factory, so it hit the dealer lot a week after it was built.

This waiting is beyond patience, my order was built on 3/8 and sat at the plant lot until 6/20 then moved to Willow Street still sitting no ETA. Hopefully ships before winter arrives….

Very long story but I have been waiting for 2 1/2 years for this car as when I received my 2022 order late last year the paint was defective from the factory and I passed on the car..ordered a 2023 model late 2022 and still waiting..where is the fast pass option I would pay…

This is crazy, you might want to try this approach. It worked for me on an allocation.

Got a build date for week of Aug 7. Surprised and pleased to say the least.
Believe that's the first build week for 24s that are not CE.
The thought of a new, convertible car sitting in the hot sun for months is disturbing, but there really isn't much that can be done.
Is it true that convertible cars have a roof cover or is that wishful thinking on my part ?

Mine is finally at the dealer - six weeks to ship it 68 miles. That's like a mile and a half a day.

Unless the convertible covers are black I don’t believe from the satellite photos there are such coverings.
