Talking "Are you telling me, you built a time machine, out of a Delorean?"

My brother who knows what a huge 80s fan and sci fi movie and shows as well has gotten me some neat gifts from L.A. over the last 2 years but this, this is awesome .

Looks pretty cool huh? but wait, there's more

Look, opening gull wing doors!

Fold down wheels for 'flying mode'

Oh, and did I mention it LIGHTS UP !

Back view, dig the lights in the rear 'vents' .

Parked next to my wearable (color shifting) Marty 2015 hat!

The model is 1/15 scale, about 14" long
the following lights up:
Head and Tail lights
Bumper and side coils glow blue
Rear vents light up
Gauge cluster, and the time display panel on dash light up
The Flux Capacitor (which is WHAT makes time travel possible) lights up too!

Oh and there are sound FX too, everything from 3 different time travel bits (coils glow blue to go with the appropriate sound/s), Delorean starting up, Delorean peeling rubber, Delorean trying to start with a dying battery, the sound of the gull wing door opening, and the sound of the car lowering down to the ground and the wheels going from horizontal to vertical to land !

yes, my brother rules so much, thanks man !

unfortunately the one with the flip down wheels was only 1 of 3000 produced. it was only available at www.bttf.net and another retailer. it is made by Diamond Select Toys, there is a part I car and when the 3000 run is done they are gonna do another run of the part II car (mr fusion version) but it will not have the 'hover mode', there is also a part III one coming in the spring with the 50s style whitewall tires and dusty weathering all over it. you can find em on ebay but the one i have is currently 65 bucks buy it now on ebay, but the part 1 cars are going for about 35-45 or so .

http://www.bttf.net/Back_to_the_Futu...ne_p/21012.htm

that is the one I have but, alas it is sold out, but since the part II car without the hover mode is not out yet, chances are if you find a part II car on ebay or anywhere else then it is the rare one, plus they will probably show a pic of if 'wheels down' .

I can't find the part II car then on e-bay. I found this, but it appears to be the part 1 toy as well.

I guess if you find one on e-bay, let me know as I am interested

That's cool. My son is a huge Back to the Future fan. We have the whole box set and he watches it once a week.

He told me the other day that he wants a DeLorean for his 16th birthday.

Dang, why would they leave out the hover conversion on the Part II car? It only flew for like one minute in the first one, but it flew for almost the entire second movie.
