1) morons. I don't get what the purpose is when you are at a car show...you aren't racing there. That is why the shows get shut down....because people are an annoyance to the neighborhood

2) never heard about it as a waving form. I always thought it was someone trying to egg you on to race. I am not into the street racing scene...I get enough attention.

I got behind an SS on my way home from work yesterday. I was in my Camaro. At a stop sign I gave him a thumbs up out my window. He smoked his tires right in front of me. It was awesome actually lol. Then I tried to figure out if he was just being friendly or showing off cuz his SS was better than my little 6er
I still don't know.

It's people like this that give car enthusiasts a bad name. And it isn't just the kids; I attended an event on Wednesday, and a gray beard had his car sideways, full-throttle, in a residential neighborhood. WTF? Why?

Peeve 2: why to people in other psuedo sports-cars feel the need to rev their engines when I drive past them? Am I supposed to be impressed? What point is trying to be made? Who does this?

Tell your stories. This mentality puzzles me.
Sounds like insecurity to me. If not that it's the bait move. (referring to Peeve 2)I get that as well and my car is still bone stock damn near. Really?? Really? We going there now? Lol !!!

I agree buddy. People take it to level 11 just because they're feeling saucy. Restraint is a quality that many people don't possess. You're right it makes us look bad. You're right it's irresponsible. It's them ignoring the cue in your brain that says "NOT APPROPRIATE RIGHT NOW!!!!!".

Yeah, my car sounds awesome. That doesn't mean I have to show everyone all the time. That's how people end up in trouble.

Do you have kids that play in the neighborhood? Do you approve of showboat driving in a residential neighborhood?

Karma. Sometimes it comes back to them sooner rather than later!

Kids don't belong in the streets. That's what yards, sidewalks, and parks are for.
If drivers don't want to hear others reving their engines then close the windows, turn up the radio and stare straight ahead.
Enjoy the road before the gastapo takes away the freedom to "Find New Roads".
Lifes way too short - enjoy the moment!
