Exclamation C7.R Rendings with NO CAMO!

Quote:
Chevrolet and Pratt & Miller gave the world a quick tease by parading the C7.R around Laguna Seca during last weekend's Monterey Motorsport Reunion, but the quick shots of the car on track didn't exactly paint the clearest picture of what the finished racer will look likes. Artist Theo Chin solved that problem for us by whipping up these renderings of the C7.R without its black-and-white vinyl wrap.

Like the car we saw at Laguna Seca, this machine carries over many of the production version's design elements, including plenty of exposed vents and the factory ducktail spoiler, though a new, more aggressive hood and front fascia dominate the nose. Look closely, and you'll spot the subtly wider bodywork. There's also a rear wing large enough to use as a dining room table, and an aggressive rear diffuser handles aero duty down low.
Given the theatrics at Monterey, it's only a matter of time before Chevrolet and Pratt & Miller show off the real deal during the coming auto show season. When that happens, look for the new Z06 to join it onstage.
Until then, these renderings are enough to get excited about.

Subtly wider?

What does subtle have to do with it?

Except for the radiator air intake, this is the most beautiful Corvette yet made... but it's too wide for a drivable street car - must have an additional 9" on the C7..
