I recommend SRF. The only complaint that I ever hear is price.

SRF is the best, but a little expensive. Motul is nearly as good and a lot cheaper. I stick with SRF as I think its worth the extra cost. One dealer needs 1 litre to flush, the other dealer needs 1.5 (I hate having to waste that remaining 0.5).

Mmmm. I'll try the 660 out first. Castrol SRF here in Canada is rediculously priced. $170 for 1 litre. I got a deal on the 660 at $50 a litre. The track I frequent is somewhat low speed. The fastest point b4 breaking is around 120kmh. I'll give the Motul a shot first. The OEM dot3 didnt give up until the 6th session. I'm reasoning this was because I only had 10 minutes cool down, as opposed to 40.

Keep the discussion going... I'm learnig lots. I hope others are too?

Is it ok to change out to the more "track" brake fluid if the car is also on the street ?

For those tracking their car and using Brembo HTC64, how often are you bleeding it? I recently switched from Endless to Brembo, so I wasn't sure if Brembo needed to be bled every couple of track days, or if it was good several. Thanks in advance!

Buy the best cheap fluid you can get, bleed often. We used to track w Castrol LMA until it was discontinued. Now, BRF 600 or 660 and.. bleed often.

No issues with Motul RBF660 with multiple track days.

Yea, SRF is the way to go. Only issue is having to flush it out every year or so because it absorbs water more quickly than DOT3 (which is why they use DOT3 from the factory).

It was said that in 2023 or 2022 they started to fill the ZL1s with DOT4.

Dot3 absorbs less moisture so I’m guessing no on dot4 from the factory. GM does not want to be like Ferrari were they demand a $10,000 service every year. Besides probably listed on the fill cap.
