GM doesn't use different RPO codes for the same color, regardless of name. So, they are different paint codes.

After seeing this color in person at Camaro Fest 8, with several hyper blue models close by, they are not nearly as close as the pictures suggest. You can immediately tell the two apart. Riverside is darker and has a bit of a purple hue that's more noticeable from some angles than others. It's still a nice color, but I definitely prefer Hyper Blue over it.
On a side note, Orange Crush is a really sweet color!

Riverside Blue Metallic - RPO GKK, paint code WA-627D Codes are right in the color charts in their respective order guides. Camaro: https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NA...page=9&butID=3 Corvette: https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NA...page=9&butID=3 Typically, if a paint shares RPO code, but each brand uses a different name, they share paint codes. Only the marketing name changes. A great example of this is Shadow Gray Metallic. RPO code is GJI, paint code is WA-626D. Its called Shadow Gray Metallic at camp Chevrolet. However, camp GMC calls it Dark Sky Metallic, camp Cadillac calls it Shadow Metallic, and camp Buick calls it Pewter Metallic.

Your avatar and pictures here do a good job of showing how the two colors compare in real life (hyper blue vs. riverside).

Hyper Blue is the main reason why I'd get the 2018 model year. That colour is just out of the world. |

After years of missing the mark on a medium blue available Camaros they finally hit it out of the park with Hyper. Its nearly perfect. I can't believe they are replacing it with Riverside. Unless every real picture of this color just sucks, it looks very bland in comparison. Cloudy day, crappy pic whatever the condition, Hyper Blue just glowed and looked amazing.

Things sure have quieted down in this thread.....I like the blue myself. I would have preferred Hyper, but I'm still happy with Riverside. Basically, I'm trading the Hyper for an A10 and rear view camera mirror. I can handle that....

If I were going to order one, I’d check it out in person to make sure you like it.
