295/30R19 tire too wide for 19 x 10" wheel ...?

I am looking to fit Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires for Spring 2018... they don't make a 285/30R19 and I don't really want to go down to 275/30R19 and lose some of the front end bite.

I worried about possible handling issues since 285 is considered the upper range for a 10" wide wheel...

I might consider getting an all new setup with adjustments stable camber plates from Morena, and Z06 front spats and trimming down the MRC shock to go whole hog with :

305/30r19 front on a 19x11 ( or 10.5) and a 325/30r19 rears with a 19x12 wheel

Thoughts ? Suggestions?

EDIT: realized the title had the original size... tital now says 295, not 285

285 is a perfect for for 10 inch width. 9.5 is minimum and 10.5 is max per manufacturer. I dont know why you think its narrow.

9.5 = 275
10 = 285
10.5 = 295
11 = 305

sorry, my subject title should have said 295/30r19 , not 285/30R19 on a 10" wide wheel

It fits fine. I’m running 295/30/20 on the OEM 1LE wheels. No clearance issues at all.

Also different manufacturers measure their tires differently. Dont chase a size. Look at the actual dimensions. For instance, a Michelin Super Sport runs very wide while Nitto tires are more narrow. It also has to do with the shoulder blocks. Some are more squared while others rounded.

It should be just fine

By the way, I was using 305/30/19 and 325/30/19 on 10.5" and 11" wheels with no ill effects

I run a 305/30R19 on the front of my 19x10 autocross wheels, as does every other FS 1LE 5th gen Camaro with no issue.
